Reflections on a new name for the State

The name Lechia suffers from a lack of originality – it is a commonly used word in the Polish language and serves as an alternative, euphemistic term for Poland. This term also forms the basis of the name for Poland in several East European languages, such as Crimean Tatar and Turkish, where the form Lehistan is used. For this reason, I have deemed it appropriate to begin considering the idea of changing the name.
This discussion page is intended as a platform for public consultation. We invite everyone – not just active participants in the project – to submit their proposals for a new name. Please include a brief etymological outline and a suggestion for translating the name into English. We extend our thanks in advance to all who choose to engage in the discussion.

2. Lemigalia Lemigalia Lemigalians It can be considered that the root Lemi- comes from the hypothetical Proto-Velitic word lěmъ, which could have meant edge. The suffix -galia could derive from the Proto-Velitic word golъ, which meant bare, naked, without trees, and could refer to open spaces. Olejowy (talk)
3. Lemiłgawa Lemilgava Lemilgavans It can be considered that the root Lemi- comes from the hypothetical Proto-Velitic word lěmъ, which could have meant edge. The suffix '-łgawa' could be a combination of the Proto-Velitic word lugъ, which meant meadow, wetland (as in the word łęg, referring to a marshy area), and the ending -awa, typical for river names. 4. Lacja Lacia Lacians From Oldpolish word lacki (polish, catholic). Lankusiek (talk)
5. Nowakia Novakia Novakian As I known nothing about polish language, I took a look in Google and seems loke Nowak is the most popular surname in Poland. I tried to created something like "Nowak's land". Yes, I got an OGF-country using this name in south Tarephia, but surely I would change it if you choose this name, as I seems to fit better in current Lechia than in south Tarephia.
