I wonder if OpenGeoFiction could have a cycleway layer like CyclOSM? I am aware that CyclOSM is a layer stylesheet that we can import from GitHub. I make this request because I recently introduced cycleway routes to a town in Mecyna. Other countries in our world may have done something similar, and therefore the aim of the suggested new layer is to highlight such networks. --ika-chan! (talk) 17:40, 4 March 2024 (UTC)

I think it's a great idea. I have long wanted to see a cyclosm-type render for OGF. Unfortunately, building and maintaining a new planet-level render requires resources (server space! and hours of coding time!) that the current OGF project doesn't have. That said, I'd wholly endorse and support if you and/or some other members of the OGF community wanted to build such a render layer, and I'd be happy to incorporate it into the layer selection panel on the side. All the pieces for building such a render are freely available: planet file (https://data.opengeofiction.net/backups/), outgoing replication (https://data.opengeofiction.net/replication/), "NASA-style" SRTM (for contours and hillshading) (https://ogfsrtm.rent-a-planet.com/hgt-files/), etc. You just have to set it all up!--Luciano (talk) 22:29, 6 March 2024 (UTC)
