I want New Abereth's geography to be mainly inspired by Maine. This means a lot of bays, inlets, islands, rivers, and lakes. It will be a heavily forested area, so there will be very little open land dedicated to cities, towns, and agriculture. The coastline will be very jagged and as you go more inland, there will be more mountains.
There are two mountain ranges in the state one large range in the interior, with high peaks, the tallest one being roughly ~7,500ft. The second one, along the coast, is much shorter, with it's peaks ranging int he 3,000 - 3,500 ft range. The valley in between these ranges will be where the capitol is, along with most of the agriculture which runs along the longest river in the state.
The main river is fed by a large alpine lake in the northern parts of the state. The river will also be fed by multiple other rivers coming from the ice caps of the tall mountain peaks in the mountain range.
Along the coast, there will be many state parks as well as one national park protecting the pristine coastline of the state. Inland, there will still be several state parks, and other areas restricted for hunting, camping, and other outdoor activities.
The climate in New Abereth is very chilly, with winter temps averaging around 15F, and snow being very common in the winter. In the summer, New Abereth has a very comfortable average temperature, ranging in the 60s and 70s degree farenhite. It is a fairly rain region, with year round rainfall around 50-60 inches. Along the coastline, there is a lot of fog day round.

A brief description of the territory demographics, economic development, land occupation, infrastructure and mapping style |
Most of the population will be concentrated in cities, one with around ~80,000 people, and another city, the capitol, with roughly a population around ~30,000. There will be additional cities ranging in the populations from 3,000 to 10,000. The rest on the population will be located in small towns and villages scattered throughout the state. In total, the population of the state will be ~160,000.
The main industries for the state will be forestry, fishing, and tourism.
As for roads, there will be only one main interstate freeway running in the middle of the state. The other highways will be smaller state highways with most of them having a max of 4 lanes. So most of the roads in the state will be small minor roads.
The rail infrastructure will also be limited, with one main track connecting the two main cities with the surrounding countries and states, with a few branches off the main track connecting smaller cities and towns.

History & culture | |
---|---|
A brief description of the intended culture and language |
Historically, New Abereth was a very sparsely populated state. The local natives of the state, the Siskuomis have been in this state for centuries, staying near the coastline for food. When the Ingerish came and settled Archanta, they left the Siskuomis alone, as they were very isolated from the rest of the colony. This has led New Abereth to have heavy influence from the local native culture, and Siskuomi culture and tradition is well preserved.
In the 1700s, the Ingerish established a small port at the mouth of the largest river, making it the first ever Ingerish settlement in the state.
In modern media, New Abereth is the site of many horror movies, because of its heavy dense forests and foggy skies. There is no professional sports teams in New Abereth, however the public university, University of New Abereth's basketball team is very competitive on the D1 level in college. Overall, new Abereth is not that relevant culturally.

Your work in your beginner territory is pretty good, and this is a very well thought out and planned application for a new FSA state. Approved. --TheMayor (talk) 12:47, 23 June 2023 (UTC) | |
Keep in mind that the FSA is a large, collaborative project. Ongoing, continuous activity, coordination, and communication with other FSA mappers is integral to the project's success. |
