Hivearnia is made up of rolling green hills. Dairy farming is the primary agriculture though lambs are more often kept in mountaineous areas. The country does not have very many high points, with it's highest (Mt. Saint Michael) being only 654m tall.Hivearnia experiences lots of rainfall and stormy weather in some parts of the country.

A brief description of the territory demographics, economic development, land occupation, infrastructure and mapping style |
Hivearnia is one country that was impoverished for most of it's history. That all changed when they changed their economic structure. Hivearnia industrialised throughout the late 20th Century - particularily the two cities of Port Harbour and Gunmanstown.Hivearnia mainly produces electronics, pharmeceuticals and aircraft parts. It's used the Central (CT) since the Economic Reform before which it used the Hivearnian Pound (H£). Hivearnian industry is unique in that it is almost built by companies. The government offers grants to companies willing to build infrastructure in Hivearnia which increases the HDI dramatically. What was once a rural farming nation with lots of dept is now an economic powerhouse. Efforts are being made in neighboring regions to adopt the Central because it is so stable.
History & culture | |

A brief description of the intended culture and language |
Híbhéarnéa means Land of the Five Kings in Gélgic, the official language. The country was originally split into five kingdoms, Rí Ó Thuas, Rí Ó Theas, Rí Ó Thoir, Rí Ó Thiar and finally an Ard Rí, based in the historic city of Lios Ardrí (Lisardree) The kingdoms still exist as provinces however they have no local government, instead the country is split into seven Municipalites: Lisardree, Antra, Foletry, North West, South West East and Kilardmond. Foletry is the only semi-autonymous municipality as it has been in political struggle for years. Going back many years, the residents of Foletry in the Northeast of the country were relocated from their homeland in Beldonija to this region. They never left but did establish their own cultural identity. They tried many times to become independent or join Beldonija but to no avail. In 1920, after the Híbhéarn system (five kings) was finally ended they were given their semi-autonomy. There has still been lots of unrest in the region and the response from Central Government has often been to put it down with force. Now the region is less stable than ever, and on the brink of revolt.

Can I modify my maps as time progresses?

- Hello. Thank you for the application. Unfortunately, we cannot approve the application at this point. There are some issues with the application and also limited mapping demonstrated. I would be more than happy to grant you a BG territory, however, if you would like to build up your dossier and have some fun practicing your skills. If you would like a BG territory, simply reply here. Please do not start another application; we can handle it all here.
- A few points of feedback for you to consider as you practice:
- Try working on rural and urban mapping. We want to see both in applications, especially for moderately large territories.
- When doing detailing work, keep in mind that you are marking the middle of the highway. This means that you'll need to consider the distance from that centre point to the edge of the pavement before putting sidewalks and buildings in.
- When doing rural mapping, details matter as well. Show where tree lines break and include rural industry like agriculture, food processing, etc.
- Regarding the application in general, here are a few thoughts for the future:
- Please strongly consider where the culture of your territory fits better. Your description appears to fit much further west, around the Celtic-inspired mapping that we have already on the continent. The area of UL14e is Slavic-inspired.
- Real-world creative properties like "Whoville" cannot be prominently featured on our map. You will be asked to revise things like that. Allusions to creative works as Easter eggs do exist in a few places, but overt naming in a one-to-one manner is not allowable.
- Once again, if you would like a BG territory to get started and build up your experience, please let me know here. Thank you. — Alessa (talk) 14:44, 23 January 2024 (UTC)

- Thanks Alessa, Using your advice I made some changes to my part of the blue region, adding more detail to rural areas. I looked around different countries and was under the impression that fields and farmyards were for the most part left out of the mapping process. I come from making hand-drawn maps almost always in rural areas so I found this much funner than endless urban building. I would be willing to change my culture to a slavic one, though I usually have trouble coming up with names inspired by regions I am unfamiliar with. I would also be willing to move to a BE Celtic territory (and would much prefer a small one) I will modify the reference to Whoville and Mt. Krumpet in Physical Geography.
- In regards to history, would it be possible to have events unfold in my country as time goes on in real life (political changes, new developments, border changed, etc.) or is OpenGeoFiction more stood in a single time?
- Thanks a million for your response. -Veni Vidi Vici (talk) 18:12, 23 January 2024 (UTC)
- BG-36 Sounds perfect, thank you. -Veni Vidi Vici (talk) 22:34, 23 January 2024 (UTC)
- Glad to hear. BG36 is yours. When you are working, please be mindful of the scale of things, as I mentioned. You may want to consider using the scale helper tool as a means of comparing your mapping to that of the real world. It is a very useful tool. Cheers. — Alessa (talk) 23:14, 23 January 2024 (UTC)
