A brief description of the territory demographics, economic development, land occupation, infrastructure and mapping style |
- Roughly 75% of the proposed area for expansion is covered by the Serion Desert. We believe that is coherent to expand into these areas, as they are part of currently available territories and most of it is uninhabitable, excluding the fertile areas in the sides of the two rivers that converge over Petmer, Hekhhesi (https://opengeofiction.net/#map=8/25.148/24.181&layers=B).
- The coastal fertile area of TA014 is mostly expected to have settlements with a fishing-oriented culture. Further inland, there will be several scatterly-populated areas focused on agriculture and farming.
- Most of the population in the proposed expansion would be living in the riverside, and there might be some significant settlements in the coast of TA014 and minor mining zones into the desert.
- We are expecting to use a similar mapping style for the area, as well as the same language. As previously discussed in the initial application for Ta Seti, it is intended to resemble what a contemporary Ancient Egypt would look like under a totalitarian regime, so historically it would make sense to expand further into the desert as part of the territorial expansions throughout history that are still held by the government today.

Discussion for clarification & decision |
- Hello. When it comes to territory expansion, it's important to wonder "what could the mapper(s) do in this area that they wouldn't be able to do before?". I'm unable to answer this question right now, so I don't believe I can grant this request. A lot of the current mapping in the coastal regions of Ta Seti at present consists of place=* nodes, landuse=residential areas and secondary roads; but nothing else. Even within the capital city, where I personally think the central core is among the coolest things on OGF currently, areas like Tsherit [1] are not exactly at the same level of creativity. I don't intend to put you specifically on "detailing duty"; but at the moment, there is still a lot of mapping to be done for these areas to be considered "reasonably mapped". West of the capital, some towns are outlined a bit better than just blobs of residential landuse - but just residential roads don't make a town. Huge grids need to have some kind of spice added in order not to look like low-effort excel sheets. So, my worry is that, if you were granted TA014, it would also fill up with mapping like this [2], and it would be considered "good enough to claim yet another new territory". Having said that, desert real estate is very cheap. I'd be willing to grant the requested western expansion, as I think it makes a lot of sense from a cultural perspective for Ta Seti to have spread further in this direction. Please let me know if that is acceptable to you right now. Taka (talk) 20:09, 12 June 2024 (UTC)
- Hello, Taka! First of all, I'm glad that you like the central core of our capital city. Regarding your comments about areas like Tsherit, we would like to add that areas like these are designed under the totalitarian philosophy of the country, as a workers' area and intentionally meant to be like this; but yes, we are aware of your point, there are still some elements of our mapping that need improvement to be "reasonably mapped". However, is up to you to decide what is appropriate for us to get from this territory application. Both of us have no problem with your proposal of granting the requested western expansion, as you said, it makes a lot of sense from a cultural perspective for Ta Seti to have spread in this direction. Happy mapping! Mapping Expert (talk) 20:09, 13 June 2024 (UTC)

Hello, admin team! I want to ask the reason for closing our request, as the regional admin Taka has already stated that he would have no problem granting us the requested western expansion. I'm looking forward for your answer. Mapping Expert (talk) 20:53, 21 July 2024 (UTC)
- The request was closed. While Taka may have indicated that above, it wasn't implemented. I'm taking care of a backlog of requests and thought that this was a clear close with no changes, maintaining things as they are. Especially given that the highlighted mapping above - low density fill it up - is still unchanged. Thanks/wangi (talk) 20:58, 21 July 2024 (UTC)
