An overview of climate, topography and landscape of the country. It is advised to also create a sketch, you can add a link to this (hosted on imgur or similar)

The climate is mixed-temperate, resulting in four distinct seasons: Winter, Spring, Summer, and Autumn. The climate results in multiple rivers running into the Gulf of Volta.

Zhenkoku contains land which is part of the East Ulethan Mountain Chain, which results in a very mountainous region in the south overall. There are smaller mountains situated to the north, at the border with Eshein. The land is moderatly flat from Saikyel to the Gulf of Vulta in which rivers flow from the mountain ranges, allowing for the cultivation of rice and wheat, the most popular starches in the country.

Because of mixed-temperate climate, seasons are prevalent often with high rainfall. However, the climate is forgiving enough for most rural communities to practice dual-cropping.

Regional Statistics

To the north are the Sündeks, which favors trade and industry. It favors more European-style, walkable street designs. Its infrastructure is, on average, better developed compared to their southern counterparts. The main religion in this region is Christianity although it also hosts a sizable Buddhaist population. Many historians believe that the Sündeks migrated from modern day Eshein.

The south are the Zhenkokese, which also favors trade and industry. However, due to mountainous geography in the south, it is less economically developed. It favors more Asian-style, car-centric street designs. The main religion in this region is Buddhaism, though it also hosts a large Christian population.

Between the two are where both cultures mix. Its administrative capital is located in this section, and, as a result, multilingualism in Kalmish and Izaki is much higher than in the other regions at around 89%. This region is a somewhat strange combination between the car-centric Zhenkoo regions and the European Sundek streets, resulting in American-style albeit with more efficient zoning practices.

Throughout the whole country, the multilingual rate between Kalmish and Izaki stands at around 78%, with the education system ensuring that both languages are taught side-by-side, although the native language gets higher priority as working languages. All regions extensively use public transportation in the form of buses, light rail, and heavy rail as well as using mix-used developments. In total, around 14 million people live here.

Government

The Federal Republic elects a president every five years, and the country holds a bicameral legislature. It also has a Supreme Court, appointed by both houses of Parliament with terms not lasting more than 12 years. The lower house, called the Haussestag or Alempi Okiado, holds 250 seats and is directly elected by the people. The upper house, called the Haussesrat or Sangjin Okaido, holds 36 seats and is directly elected by State legislatures. The president is elected directly by the people. The government has two working languages, Kalmish and Izaki.

State legislatures appoint 3 representatives to the upper house. State legislatures are usually unicameral and members are elected by the people.

Since both regions integrated into one, the government mandated that all government functions be maintained in both languages.

A brief description of the intended culture and language

Early History

Okay I tried to tie in some components of the well documented history from Izaland but if they would like to weigh in and change some elements I am open to doing that!

The territory was once occupied by two kingdoms: The Kingdom of Sharnhausse, closely related to Kalmish inhabitants from modern day Eshein, as well as the Kingdom of Hanja. The Kingdom of Hanja used the Pudongse language, developed from earlier primitive languages. Early people who settled in the Hanja region are loosely related to those in Kojo.

Sharnhausse was a trading kingdom which largely benefited from facilitating trade with other nations in the Gulf of Volta, while the Kingdom of Hanja was primarily agricultural. Both kingdoms heavily facilitated trade with each other.

Hanja eventually fell to the Kingdom of Sopeke (now part of nowaday Izaland) in which the region fully adopted the Izaki language. The region regained independence with the Kingdom of Usijase in the Ðenzhū era (The Warring Provinces) and never reintegrated with the mainland.

Usijase and Sharnhausse both enjoyed relative peace amongst each other, enjoying an extensive use of trade that benefited both countries. As a result, both Usijase and Sharnhausse had large, notable Kalmish and Izaki populations respectively.

Modern History

The Baer War: 1912-1913 → The Kingdom of Sharnhausse sponsored a major seafaring culture and the S.S. Volta was the latest of ocean liners. In 1913, the Volta was fired upon and scuttled through the passage of Noy Tyrrin in Eshein under threat from insurgent forces. As a result, Sharnhausse declared war with Eshien, in which the latter won in just 5 months. As a result, Sharnhausse ceded the Baer and Millerburg regions to the Eshein.

The Sunbird Movement: 1962-1966 → As the two kingdoms struggled to stay out of conflict, as well as weakening over time through the Sunbird movement, a historic movement that called for the abolishment of the monarchy in the region, was launched. Since both kingdoms became so intertwined with each other through trade, services, infrastructure, and as well as the pressure from foreign agents, both Kingdoms collapsed in 1964 and led to the establishment of a Republic with a new constitution in 1966.

A note about Kyunzi's application: I have communicated with Kyunzi about this plot of land since I have been interested in it for a couple of months already (I written this application about two months ago but never got around to putting it in since I wanted to get more experience😅), but Kyunzi tells me that I can go ahead and submit this application.

Collaborative Territory: I'm also planning to map this territory with one of my friends, Omnivar (on my friend's page) as we worked on many projects together. Perhaps take his past mapping skills as well. I also told Kyunzi that they can join us as well.
