In the Western and Eastern Plains of the nation, the Koppen-Geiger climate is Cfc (annual avg 0C to 35C), whereas the highlands have a cold semi-arid climate in the north and hot semi-arid climate in the south. The nation has the Highlands spanning north to south through the middle. There are two plains to either side of the highlands. The western plains is mainly tundra whilst the eastern plains are Csc, or a dry summer climate. The soil in the Eastern Plains are due to the presence of several volcanoes in the Highlands, The Bukuinung Mountain Range sticks out like a sore thumb in the Eastern Plains. https://imgur.com/a/fffuzab

About 24% of the population lives below the poverty line. The GDP per capita is $14,400USD ($947,332.80IND, native currency) and the national GDP is $308.892B USD ($2.032T IND). A steady rate of -0.5% population has been observed in the rural Highlands, mainly due to people moving out to either the plains or large towns in the Highlands for job opportunities. The Eastern Plains have experienced a 2% population increase, the Western Plains with a 1.5% increase and the urbanised Highlands with a 4.5% population increase. A lot of both plains have been urbanised, and most land left is used for agriculture, to grow wheat, fruit, vegetables and other staples. In the highlands, rice and wheat are mainly grown. Infrastructure in the highlands are poor - most residential roads are unpaved. This can also be seen in the Western Plains and urbanised Highlands. The Eastern Plains features smooth roads complete with many facilities for civilians to use. Facilities in the urbanised Highlands and Western Plains are also common.
Inūra-Nyaratanta (Inya colloquially) is split into regions and then into provinces, which are then split into either municipalities (non-urban areas) or cities (urban areas). Then, municipalities are split into boroughs, and cities are split into suburbs. This is the common administrative division system for the nation, even used in the Bokoa Autonomous Region.

Humans lived in the area for thousands of years, specifically in the Highlands. Then, three groups split up - the Nyaratanta people who moved westwards, the Inuw Bokoa people who remained in the highlands, and the Inūra people who moved eastwards. Then, languages started forming between the three groups. The Inuw Bokoa and Inūra people shared a language as trading was very common, whilst the Nyaratanta people, in isolation, created their own language. Over time, these languages started to branch into different dialects and eventually newer languages. When trading routes were established, all three groups became richer in materials over time. However, there were many thieves and robbers that lingered along the road, looking for valuable goods to take. The three demographics united, starting the legacy of the nation. Three presidents from each region work together to rule the nation. Infrastructure was improved on and urbanisation started to happen mainly in the Plains, prompting residents in the Highlands to move out.
The Nyaratanta languages are based off Pama-Nyungan languages, and the Inūra languages are based off Timor-Alor-Pantar languages, with major Norwegian Bokmal and other Scandinavian influences. The Nyaratanta languages are nearly extinct but are under conservation. Other preserved Pama-Nyungan and Timor-Alor-Pantar languages can be found in the highlands. Ainu is used as a lingua franca for some southern highlands villages.

- Hi Kyunzi! I am ITC, the owner of Izaland, one of your potential neighbor countries if your request is successful, and I am happy to see that someone is finally interested in this empty box! I want to take the liberty of adding some comments to your territory request.
- The Northern Izaland region (https://opengeofiction.net/relation/293803) is a complex territory with tormented human geography. The original substrate was Ainu, but as the Izakic people from the south penetrated the region, they partially melted with the local population, resulting in a partial reshuffling of the population with the Japonic influence coming from further south. During the Middle Ages, the region was also influenced by the arrival of the Kalmish (German) and the Finnic people from the north. This led to the area becoming a flourishing exchange center between the Izakic-Japonic sphere and the Kalmish-Eelantian (Finnish) one. Given your interest in introducing the Macro-Pama-Nyungan family, which could be considered as a language isolate, it could work since we are talking of a relatively small territory (see the Basque Country). Nevertheless, it would be beneficial to incorporate some Ainu influence.
- About the natural geography, please noted that the Aigan mountain range, which separates Izaland from the northern countries, reaches an altitude of 5,000 metres in certain locations. The presence of a volcano (or an ancient volcano) may also be a plausible explanation, although the orogenesis of these mountains is likely to have resulted from crust deformation rather than volcanism, like the formation of the Alpine-Himalayan mountains.

Hello Kyunzi, welcome and thank your for your application. It is well thought out and a good general fit for the area. My comments are twofold. First, a few general words on your mapping experience so far:
- I see that you already placed a number of edits in the last week, mapping a little village in AR902. That's a great start! Before granting a permanent, private territory, I would like to encourage you however to continue mapping some more in blue territories or get a BG territory to build a little more mapping experience. Claiming a BG territory is very straight forward, see the link for more info. Any mapping you do in a BG territory can be easily transferred to a future permanent, full-size territory at a later point in time; so you don't "lose" anything by practicing a little in a BG territory before getting a full-size territory a little later on.
- While building some more mapping expertise, you are also encouraged to try out different aspects of mapping; that includes, for example, mapping villages (as you have done so far), but also rural areas, natural landscapes, and cities.
After building a little more mapping expertise in blue or BG territory, I'd be glad to revisit this territory application. If you are very interested in this territory in particular, I can reserve it for the time being - just give me a short indication if that's the case. You can then come back to this territory application and ask for a reevaluation after building a larger track record of mapping activity, without having to worry someone else might come along and claim it in the meantime. In the following, I'll already note some comments to think about regarding your UL28h application - it's fine if you don't address them right now but in the future when we revisit your application.
- According to the East Uletha Concept, UL28h sits at the transition between steppe, seasonal wet and mixed temperate climate. Cfc Köppen climate seems to be quite rare on earth, but most examples I could find where much colder than what you would probably expect in such a location. Then again, I'm not really a climate expert, so this is not really a point of criticism and rather an invitation to elaborate a little more on this point.
- It's great to see you are interested in mapping a poorer country; it's something that's really underrepresented in our community.
- It's also great to see you want to map languages based on native Australian and south-east-Asian languages. I'm not aware of any other spots where this has been done so far. As Izaland pointed out, the area currently is under the influence of two language groups: from the South, the region is dominated by Japonic languages, while from the North Germanic influences (via colonialism) persists. Your languages would have to be considered language isolates in that regard, which can work. But maybe you can elaborate a bit more on how you imagine Polish, English and Portugese influences; are we talking some loanwords or heavy influence on the language? And do you have some ideas about how this mixing could have come about historically? That will help us integrate your territory into the existing language landscape in a better way. Do you have some examples of your language already or are you going to develop it from sratch as you start mapping?
- You mentioned infrastructure will be rather underdeveloped, but nevertheless it would be good to already plan the location of the major cities and infrastructure links on the overview map alongside the natural geography. See also here for a great guide
That's a lot of feedback for now - to reiterate, I'd love to see some more mapping before we proceed to finding a full-sized and permanent territory for you. In the meantime, feel free to reflect on my and the others' comments and improve on your territory application. Hi ITC, thank you so much for the insights!! I'll reply to each of these suggestions here.
I will add Ainu influence in the southern highlands, maybe as a second language or lingua franca to the Timor-Alor-Pantar language(s) spoken there.
After looking at the Aigan Mountains, I think I should turn the volcanoes into a small mountain range if it's a more realistic idea. Maybe the highlands could be a plateau lower than the Aigan Mountains? That way the idea of cities in the mountains would be much more supported.
That's a great idea!! I'll do some things in the blue areas as I don't know if I can apply for both a real area and a BG area at the same time. I'll also focus on cities, rural areas and specifically the topology. I saw Izaland's topology and oh my it looks amazing <3 I looked at some of the area features other people use to make mountains and other features and hopefully I can replicate them.
I didn't see this information about climate, but it's very specific and I can now visualise the landscape. Thanks!! I think the Geiger-Koppen Climate for the southern area would be BSh, or a hot semi arid climate. This means that agriculture may be hard but the landscape is well for grazing. In the Eastern Plains, maybe the climate could be Csc (Dry summer climate) and the western plains would be a tundra. The rest of the highlands could be BSk (cold semi arid). If anyone is good with climates, please help!!
Thanks! It seems a bit boring to me if I map everything rich, and I also want to have a sense of realism in my nation.
I'm gonna be honest - I didn't see anything about Germanic influence in the region :( Instead of minor Polish, English and Portuguese influences in the languages it could be a major Bavarian influence. I'll probably just revamp the languages entirely.
The provided website has given me understanding as to how I will plan my country. I'll start with mountains and rivers, then cities and finally roads. After that, I'll start elaborating on the cities more, especially the capital.
