Religion

Goytakano is a very religious people. They got their own monoteist religion, praising a no named God, who is rewarding all acts of the followers. It differs to christicism because not believing in a future coming of a Son of God, and to imamism because there is not any main prophet.

There are some specific rituals to the believers. Every wednesday, friday and sunday, at noon, the believer stops whatever is doing to praise god during five minutes. There are a lot of bell towers along the country to remind these sacred minutes.

Vices like alcohool, smoking or drugs are not well seen by followers, despite there is not any official penalty to goytakanos nor foreigners.

Language

Despite around 25% of words coming from mazanic and hellanesian origin, the goytakano language is unique on OGF. It is spoken only in Goytakanya, and uses the latin alphabet, except the letters "I", replaced by "Y", and "C", replaced by "S" or "K".

Goytakano language got their own mazanic inspired alphabet, but it is no longer used since 1823. Even still, it appears in national coat of arms.

Another important thing to mention is that, there are specific connectors between the name and the surname of all people.

The connector "Em" means that the person is from a noble family. Example: Barum Em Vallarka, king from 19xx to 19xx.

The connector "Eb" means that the person is from a clerical family. Example: Dybram Eb Brazd, famous football player.

The connector "Ek" means that the person is from a worker family. Example: Belaz Ek Varkuta, important businessman.

Mafia

Brasdman Eb Baldyvys, most famous Goytakano mafious.

Mafia is an old problem of the nation, seen as a characteristic of Goytakanos by other ethnic groups.

They follow a rigid honour code. Each goytakano town is controled by a family. One family can not operate out of its own town, onlyt with rare exceptions or permissions.

Their main operations are weapons smuggling and forced security. Mafia also operates the irregular transportation of refugees from Suvuma to Goytakanya and from Goytakanya to Telkarnatha.

Today, all the families chiefs are in jail, but they still give orders to subordinates, due to a very known corruption in prison system.

Even been criminals, the Mafia got sympathy by the people because they helped Goytakano people when other suvumese ethnic groups driven out Goytakanos from Suvuma. This act was only due to a nationalist sentiment. There was not any link between Mafia and Royal Family.

The most notable Mafia chief is Brasdman Eb Baldyvys, from Bhagurah. In jail since 2018, escaped exactly one time per year since then, coming back to prison few days later, and using these "free times" to organize family`s business. Because this, is very rare a prison director remains more than one year on duty.

General Stuff

Originally, Bhagurah city as capital was located in Bhagurah Purat "(Fort Bhagurah/ Old Town)", but in 19xx, under king TBD reign, was created a urbanistic plan to a new city just west to the walled city. In fact, the pentagonal symetric street map came to life, but the national economy fastly decreased, and today the area is filled by decadent buildings. There are not traffic signals, and the only viaduct in all the country is located where the national route G-1 starts in east Bhagurah.
