Malayar, officially the Republic of Malayar, is an island country located to the South of the Ulethan continent^∈⊾. The two national languages are Malayalam and Ingerish, while Gobrasi languages are recognized in multiple municipalities.

For centuries, the islands welcomed a relatively small number of fishermen and subsistence farmers from various tribes originating in the Gobras peninsula. Seafarers from Deligallur^∈⊾ landed in Malayar in the mid-15th century and founded a colony whose population rapidly increased, fuelled by migration from North Archanta^∈⊾. The Kingdom of Malayar was founded in 1507, with Muziri^∈⊾ as its capital city.

Internal instability made the kingdom vulnerable to piracy in the early 18th century. Colonists from Ingrea seized the opportunity to build a fortified trading post under the pretense of providing protection. The entirety of Malayar was placed under an Ingerish protectorate in 1793. Though settler numbers remained low, this period cemented Ingerish as the common language up to today.

The nation achieved independence in 1965 as a parliamentary republic. Today, its highly developed market economy is based on transshipment, fishing, tourism, medical equipment, pharmaceuticals, electronics and IT services. Malayar ranks highly in quality of life and economic freedom.
