Platina (Castellanese pronunciation: [plaˈtina]), officially the Platinan Republic, is a country located in the Liberan Island of West Uletha. Covering an area of 138 904 km² (53 631 sq mi), Platina is an unitary state subdivided into 14 provinces. It shares maritime boundaries with UL03m∈⊾ and UL03h∈⊾ to the southwest, and is also bordered by Alvorán to the northwest, Jarcón to the northeast, Xatãera to the south, and UL03t∈⊾ to the southeast. The capital of Platina is Montedorado, while its largest city is Lutos de la Santa Inquisición.
Historically inhabitated by some prominent indigenous civilizations, with some intermittent settlements by regional powers, the contemporary Platina emerged by the settlement of Castellanese merchants and the Brotherhood of Fellow-Soldiers and Knights of the Saviour and Holy Cross, commonly known as the Order of the Holy Cross, in the area by the early 13th century. The order established military posts and agrarian communities throughout the country, which were operated through a land lease system operated by the church, managing the land with further autonomy than other systems in nearby colonies. Following increasing tensions with Castellán over the colony's autonomy, the order rebelled and declared the independence of Platina in the late 18th century, supported by the local church. Platina is governed as a hoplarchical parliamentary democracy, with the Grand Master of the Order as head of state, and a prime minister serving by virtue of their ability to command the confidence of the legislature. Platina is regarded as having a high-income economy, with manufacturing and extraction industries, as well as a prominent market of financial and technology services. There is heavy agriculture and light industrial activity throughout the country, strongly maintaining the original land-use system for agriculture.

Platina is governed as a hoplarchical parliamentary democracy, that is, a representative democratic elective and constitutional monarchy in which the Grand Master of the Order of the Holy Cross is the head of state, while the prime minister is the head of government. Executive power is exercised by the Platinan Council, made up of the prime minister and the heads of 15 ministries; further divided (for operational purposes) in a total of 46 Councils of State, serving as deliberative bodies for each ministry. Legislative power is vested in the Congress, a bicameral parliament constituted by the Chamber of Deputies and the Senate. The judiciary is independent of the executive and the legislature, administering justice on behalf of the Order by judges and magistrates. The Court of Cassation is the highest court in the nation, with jurisdiction in all Platinan territories, superior to all in all affairs except administrative and constitutional matters, which are jurisdiction of a separate court, the Constitutional Court.
Platina's political system is a multi-party system. Members of the Chamber of Deputies are selected through proportional representation, and the government is formed by the party or coalition that has the confidence of the Congress, usually this is a coalition and rarely a single party hold a majority.
National government
Order of the Holy Cross
The Order of the Holy Cross, officially the Brotherhood of Fellow-Soldiers and Knights of the Saviour and Holy Cross,[1] is a Christic lay religious order, traditionally of a military, chivalric and noble nature. The order exercises sovereignty over Platina since the late 12th century, initially under a suzerainty system by Castellán and subsequently as the de jure supreme authority over an independent Platina.
The Grand Master (Gran Maestre) is the head of the order and governs both as a sovereign and religious superior. He is entitled to sovereign prerogatives and honors, subject to constitutional regulations, and is elected to a term of ten years and may be elected to a second term, but may not serve beyond the end of his 75th or before his 30th year of life. The membership of the Order of the Holy Cross is organized in four hierarchical branches or administrations:
- Military administration. Led by a Grand Marshal (Gran Mariscal), comparable with a four star general rank in the army, who is a member of the Great Council (Gran Concilio) and the head of Platina's military.
- Organisational branch. Headed by the Great Council (Gran Concilio), consisting of 13 members and responsible for electing the head of the order and strategic decisions. The Grand Master leads the Small Council (Concilio Pequeño), consisting of 13 members (Tredecimvires), which could be seen as the executive branch and is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day organisation of the Order; the Grand Chanchellor (Gran Canciller), a member of the Great Council (Gran Concilio); and the Chancellors (Cancilleres) who are generally in control of public buildings owned by the order, religious ceremonies and the political party which is part of the order. Preceptors (Preceptores) are in command of maintaining law and tradition.
- Financial branch. The Great Treasurer (Gran Tesorero), a member of the Great Council.
- Enterprise branch. Lead by the Grand Seneschal (Gran Senescal), the second in command in the executive branch after the Grand Master (Gran Maestre). Below him we find the order Priors (Prior), who are generally in command of provincial order provinces (Prioratos) and below them are masters (Maestres) who are in control of smaller businesses or districts. Priors and Masters are assisted in their work by Senescals (Senescales).

Platinan Council
The Platinan Council (Castellanese: Consejo Platino) is the collegiate body exercising the executive power of the Platinan government. It is composed of the president of the Council, the head of government, as well as the heads of each ministry. The Platinan Council is entitled to approve or reject domestic, foreign and economic policies proposed by the numerous Councils of State under the jurisdiction of each ministry; therefore, the Council itself is incapable of proposing policy by itself, rather relying on the decisions of the Councils of State for determining public policy.
