Before colonisation

Currently in Lib there are very few traces of a pre-colonial human presence. However, on closer inspection, certain elements remain, notably certain place names (rivers, towns, territory, etc.).

We know that at the time of Valonne and Castellan's arrival on the continent, many tribes were settled in the territory. Mainly in the east: the Tniicka and Pavparvati tribes. Also in the north, in the present-day Cantobra region: the Pahvir. And the Huniiwzak, settled in the forests of the Cathar Mountains.

Pavparvati kingdom

At the time of the arrival of the Castellan settlers (around 1400), the Tniicka and Pavparvati tribes were united in a Kingdom: the Pavparvati Kingdom. The capital of this kingdom was the city of Daksina Lalamatiya, located on one of the islands in the mouth of the Goulack. The city has undergone a lot of restructuring over the years, especially after two disastrous floods in the 17th century, so that not much remains of the time when it was the capital.

Colonisation

The arrival of the settlers

Valonian first discovered the Valonian Islands, then founded the towns of Frénois, Saint-Paul and Saint-Justin-Port-Royal on the mainland.

The Castellan settlers built the town of Castellaint on the banks of a river they called the Valenda. They established a colony over the entire Goulack plain.

Colonial wars

Over the years, Valonian and Castellan extended their respective territories. Eventually, the two territories converged on the Entremont relief, the boundary between the Grand and Petit Goulack watersheds. A war of territorial conquest took place between the two colonial powers. The king of the Valonians founded the town of Fort-Valonnais, today's capital, on the site of a decisive battle that marked Castellan's withdrawal from the territory.

The states of Valonian Liberia

The states is the third administrative level. Valonian Liberia is officially made up of two states: the Kingdom of Gueyrande and the Territory of Santemi.

Kingdom of Gueyrande

This region represents 95% of the country. It is the original form of the country before the semi-independence of the Santemi Territory.

Santemi Territory

The Santemi Territory is a special region. It enjoys a certain independence from the greater Gueyrande region. Independence from certain economic and political decisions.

Principality of San Francisco (UL03k)

The Principality of San Francisco is a territory claimed by Valonian Liberia. It has important economic, socio-cultural and financial links.

The Gueyrande region is divided into 11 territories called "Petites Régions" (Small Regions): Les Iles Libres, Péninsule de Gueyrande, Cantobra, Saint-Port, Saint-Justin, Fort-Valonnais, Biron, Val-de-Goulack, Goulack-et-Valenda, Ondre and Marga.

The Territory of Santemi is also considered a Petite Région.

Les Iles Libres (The Free Islands)

The Free Islands are the first islands discovered by Valony in the Liberian region. The region is made up of three islands.

Cantobra

Cantobra is the country's northernmost region. Slightly isolated, it remains one of the least developed regions, like the Valonian Islands. During Valonian's colonization, it was inhabited by the Pahvir people. The territory, considered unattractive, enjoyed a certain autonomy from the Kingdom of Gueyrande for many years. Today, the descendants of the Pahvir people still reside in this region and constitute the largest indigenous community to have resisted colonization and the tragic demise of the indigenous Kingdom of Pavparvati.

Saint-Port

Saint-Port is one of the country's most attractive regions. Its port, the country's largest, owes its success to its proximity to the capital, Fort-Valonnais.

Saint-Justin

Saint-Justin-Port-Royal, the major city of the eponymous region, was the third major city established by decree of the King of Valonne during the colonial period. It was almost designated as the capital of the Kingdom of Gueyrande. Fort Royal was erected to receive the king during his visits, to serve as a refuge for the population in times of conflict, and to protect access to the river
