The Tarephia Cooperation Council (TCC) (Castellanese: Consejo de Cooperación de Tarefia; Valonian: Conseil de Coopération de la Taréphie; Florescentian: Conselho de Cooperação da Taréfia; Babelic: 踏热洲国家合作委员会; Aeránanue: Noukhron-spiritty Tárevyay) is a political and economic union of member states on the continent of Tarephia. The TCC aims to facilitate free trade and to facilitate freedom of movement of people, goods, and ideas between its member states. Although membership is open to all Tarephian states, most members are located in southern Tarephia. The TCC is considered by many to be a global powerhouse and the central union for cooperation in the Tarephias.
Overview
To achieve its purpose, the TCC has several missions:
- To represent Tarephia before the Assembly of Nations (AN) as an observer party,
- To grant citizens of its member state the privilege of visa-free travel,
- To use a common currency (the Tare) among member states (member states may choose if and how to peg their own currencies to the Tare), and
- To fund academic research and other initiatives in a variety of fields (e.g., science (Cabelia), space (Vodeo)).
- To improve the quality of life for all citizens of member states.
The TCC meets annually (as the Council of States) at the Secretariat in Catamia to measure progress towards existing initiatives and to plan new initiatives.
History
On 20 July 1984, the founding members of the Tarephia Cooperation Council signed the Treaty of Lyonesse-Francès. The signatories were:
Catamia, Allendea and Trevers, Paroy were selected to host the Secretariat and Tarephian Forum respectively. While Quentinsburgh, Freedemia was originally considered for the Tarephian Forum, domestic hesitancy surrounding regional collaboration and globalization led Freedemian leaders to decline hosting to allow for flexibility in leaving the TCC at a later time. Vodeo, the northernmost founding member, had also pushed to host, expressing concern at an unreasonable favoritism towards southern Lycene nations. However, with concerns from other members about Vodeo's continued strong ties to Ingrea and all other founding members being located around the Lyc, Vodeo was not chosen.
First Phase of Expansion (1985-1989)
The organization continued to expand, and by the end of 1989, seven additional countries had joined the TCC, four of which were located in the northern Lycene. The new influx led to the TCC outgrowing their initial two headquarters, and TCC leaders made the decision to add an additional headquarters in a third city. Vodean leaders pushed strongly for a location that would better represent the entire area of the TCC. With most new members now being located further north, the majority of TCC members agreed. Tileia, Tempeira, a city with a long history of indigenous republicanism and located near the new geographic center of the TCC at the time, was chosen to host the TCC Central Offices.
Second Phase of Expansion (1990-2001)
in 2001, Aldevira, on her third application was finally accepted into the TCC. They had to make multiple reforms and sort out several internal issues, such as the Fernando Sect in order to do this. Upon joining the council, president Tergit Raco said that there was "No possibility, at this point, of Aldevira adopting the Tare." Though measures were being taken in 2018, such as Debut CD now accepting the Tare as a form of payment, when the nationalist party took over in 2020 (led by Eris Zogu) many of the plans were scrapped. Aldevira has expressed interest in opening TCC offices of some sort in one of its cities.

Economy
Currency
The Tarephia Cooperation Council introduced a currency called Tare upon inception in 1984. The currency is used in some of the member states. It eases the process of money exchange and financial exchanges. The Tarephian Central Bank, which manages the Tare, is located in Hexagonia City, Tigeria.
Etymology
The Tare has its roots in Tigeria and Kotel. The two countries were using ※ as the symbol for the Tare before it was introduced in the TCC. The symbol is derived from the character for rice (米), from the days when many Tigerines and Koteliers paid their daily wages in rice. The symbol was simplified when the currency got introduced and was taken over by the TCC.

Cabelia (More specifically the city of Port-Ouillon) is a scientific hub in the TCC; hosting many TCC-funded facilities for scientific research in many fields. Scientists from all around the TCC, because of the freedom of movement and the many facilities there, funded by the TCC and the Government of Cabelia, have concentrated in Cabelia over the past decades. This concentration of scientists allows for the community to communicate much more efficiently, and thus, get more work done. ---- and ---- are also major scientific centers for the TCC, by virtue of their large cities and substantial economies.

- ↑ 1.0 1.1 The primary currency is the Allendean pitaica, however the tare enjoys a status of secondary currency and acceptance in all banks and certain businesses, especially near the border to countries which mainly use the tare.
- ↑ Freedemia uses the Freedemian freedin as the primary official currency, but has pegged it to the Tare for easy use and conversion (1 Freedin = 1.10 Tare) and recognizes the two currencies equally. Any bank will change between the two, as do many ATMs.
- ↑ While the primary and most used currency of Torola is the Jaro, the Tare is generally accepted for business. The Jaro is also pegged to the Tare (TɈ1 => ※1.50).
